About The Event
On Saturday 21st March 2020, local historian and Chairman of the Forest of Dean Railway Ltd. Ian Pope will be giving an interesting illustrated talk detailing the former Severn and Wye railway north from Parkend, the current terminus of the Dean Forest Railway, through Speech House Road and up Serridge Bank to Cinderford, including various collieries, industries and branches along the way. While the trackbed is now a cycle path, there are still plans for a return of steam to Cinderford...
The talk will be held at Whistles Cafe, at our Norchard headquarters, starting at 7pm. Your ticket will entitle you to a free tea, coffee or soft drink on arrival. Tickets are available online here, through the Norchard shop, or by phone on 01594 845840. You can also pay on the door. See you there!
