New Season under way

Wednesday saw the start of the 2026 season with our normal one train day running but with two steam locomotives, as Rennes joined 9681 having come back into steam fresh from an overhaul.

Have you thought about volunteering to work on the Railway, it can be very rewarding and there are many rolls available. We are always in need of volunteers across the entire railway.

Some roles require extensive training, are you up to becoming steam crew or maybe a signalman. There is also station porter, shop worker, ticket seller, guard, ticket inspector, crossing keeper as well as many engineering roles.
