After extensive work by our S&T team from design to delivery the new crossing gates at Whitecroft are fitted.
A lot of work is still ongoing by the team to commission the gate prior to the running of trains but progress is being made.

The old south gate had been removed several months previous, on the day of fitting the team removed the old North gate first before fitting the new gates.

With road closure in place the two new gates were fitted and secured.
Much more work is required yet.

Next day the RRV was called in to remove the remains of the old North gate clear of the running line and to assist in setting up the North gate.
With a lot more work done by the team they were able to get the south gate functional.
There is still many hours of work to be done before both gates are able to be used operationally
